Doha, Qatar: The Operations Center at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has carried out intensive inspection campaigns and responded to complaints and reports to safeguard consumer rights.
The Ministry on Monday released statistics on its inspection campaigns, as well as the reports and complaints received between February 28 and March 22, 2026.
During this period, 318 inspectors worked in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality, carrying out a total of 49,756 emergency inspection orders.
The crackdown resulted in the detection of 80 commercial violations, which led to the closure of two establishments.
The Ministry affirmed that these campaigns aim to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, guarantee the availability of essential goods in markets, and enforce pricing regulations.
