Yankees’ Luis Severino exits rehab start with new injury worry
NY Post
PHILADELPHIA — Luis Severino hit an unexpected setback in his return from Tommy John surgery Saturday, when he had to leave a rehab start after suffering a right groin injury.
The right-hander had to be helped off the field after coming up lame in the second inning while pitching for High-A Hudson Valley in their game at the Brooklyn Cyclones, a Mets affiliate. After striking out the first two batters of the inning, Severino surrendered an infield single before suffering the injury against the next batter. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam on Sunday to diagnose the extent of the injury.More Related News
