
Yankees’ injury woes continue as hamstring strain shelves Gio Urshela

In addition to their never-ending COVID-19 issues, the Yankees’ season-long parade to the injured list continued Monday when third baseman Gio Urshela was shelved with a strained hamstring.
Urshela underwent an MRI exam and has been diagnosed with a “Grade 1 or Grade 2 strain,” manager Aaron Boone said following Monday’s 7-1 loss to the Orioles. “He’s actually doing pretty well, so we can back-date it a couple of days [to Sunday],” Boone said. “He’ll continue to ramp up here in the next couple of days and hopefully it will be just another week or eight days or so.”
