Multiple workers were injured in an industrial accident at Waterloo Brewing Company Sunday night.
Five people were sprayed with a liquid causing "various levels of burns," regional police said in a news release, and two were hospitalized.
According to police, a 38-year-old Kitchener man was taken to a local hospital and a 49-year-old Kitchener woman was taken to a hospital outside the region. Both had non-life threatening injuries.
The other workers were treated by local paramedics, police say.
An inspector from the ministry has been assigned and is investigating.
George Croft, president and CEO of Waterloo Brewing, said the company is working with the labour ministry, and conducting its own internal investigation "to make sure we understand exactly how this happened and we don't allow this to ever happen again."

Environmental group Greenpeace is calling for more transparency on the part of Canada's largest pulp and paper company, saying it has received millions of dollars in government funding without providing the public with details of how that money is being used or sharing its plans for the future of Canada's forests.
