Wipro on Monday announced the acquisition of Convergence Acceleration Solutions (CAS Group), a U.S.-based consulting and programme management firm, in a $50-million cash deal.
CAS, which specialises in driving large-scale business and technology transformation for Fortune 100 communications service providers, reported a revenue of $28 million during the calendar year 2021 and employs 145 people.
Wipro said in a regulatory filing that the transaction would be completed before April 12, 2022.

Scaling Artificial Intelligence(AI) at the speed at which consultants project is not possible by the laws of physics and may not be environmentally sustainable, said Tanvir Khan, who is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of NTT DATA North America, part of the Japanese technology services and data centre company NTT Data, in an interview with The Hindu.
