We look back at the highlights of Kohli’s 14-year Test career
On May 12, 2025, Virat Kohli announced he was retiring from Test cricket. Kohli’s departure comes just weeks before India’s tour of England which features five Tests.
Kohli hadn’t been at his best in India’s last two series against New Zealand and Australia. The milestone of 10,000 Test runs may have been tempting, but he chose not to extend his career any further. He will continue playing one-day internationals for India.
He finishes with 9230 runs in 123 Tests, with 30 centuries and 31 fifties, at an average of 46.85. We look back at the highlights of Kohli’s 14-year Test career.
