Pat Cummins joins SRH training but limits exertion due to fitness concerns ahead of IPL 2026 opener.
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s regular skipper Pat Cummins joined the team’s training session at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Wednesday (March 25, 2026).
The Australian fast bowler, who is battling fitness concerns, did not overtly exert himself. The 32-year-old indulged in a light warm up, and took part in fielding and catching drills. He went on to deliver a few balls with a shortened run-up in an empty net.
While his Sunrisers teammates went full tilt, Cummins did a few sprints under the watchful eyes of head coach Daniel Vettori and his staff.

England all-rounder Liam Livingstone, signed for ₹13 crore at the auction, got into the groove with a batting stint.
Livingstone, who last featured for England a year ago, is searching for form and runs. South African Heinrich Klaasen struck big blows, sending the ball to all parts.
