Team USA adds several bullpen arms to the roster for its big quarterfinal match against Canada in the World Baseball Classic.
Team USA is loading up on bullpen arms on the roster after three pitchers left the squad to prepare for their team's Major League Baseball regular season.
Right-handers Will Vest, Tyler Rogers and lefty Tim Hill were added to the Team USA roster for the World Baseball Classic quarterfinal round against Canada on Friday night.
The trio will replace Tarik Skubal, Michael Wacha and Ryan Yarbrough.
Skubal, the two-time American League Cy Young winner, is headed back to camp with the Detroit Tigers after pitching three innings in Team USA's pool play victory over Great Britain on March 7.
Rogers led MLB in appearances with 81 last season and had a 1.98 ERA in 77 ⅓ innings for the Toronto Blue Jays. Tigers fireballer Vest had a 3.01 ERA with 75 strikeouts in 2025, and Hill worked 67 innings for the New York Yankees with a 3.09 ERA
