Doha, Qatar: The project to link traffic violations across Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is 95% complete, said the GCC Secretary General HE Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi.
In a recent interview with Kuwaiti newspaper Al Qabas, the Secretary General stated that once implemented it will enable real-time and immediate exchange of traffic violation data among GCC countries.
He added that work is also underway to add priority services to meet the needs of citizens and residents of the member states.
He stated that this project enhances compliance with traffic laws and reduces the recurrence of violations across borders.
Once launched, the traffic violations recorded in any GCC member state will automatically be recognised enforcing in the driver's host country.
