Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call today from the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka HE Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
At the beginning of the call, HE the President inquired about the situation in the State of Qatar, expressing his country's solidarity and support in light of the ongoing Iranian aggression against Qatar and other countries in the region.
For his part, HH the Amir reassured HE the President about the well-being of the Sri Lankan community in Qatar, emphasizing the State's care and concern for all those residing within its borders.
The call also addressed the challenges facing the region, particularly in light of the military escalation and its direct repercussions on the energy sector and supply chains.
HE the President stressed the importance of addressing these challenges through international coordination and cooperation.
