Two former Giants quarterbacks to interview for team’s offensive coordinator job
NY Post
Two former Giants quarterbacks are in the mix to speak with John Harbaugh about the vacant offensive coordinator position.
Davis Webb, a 2017 Giants third-round draft pick, and Alex Tanney, a backup with the Giants from 2018 through 2020, will receive interviews for the crucial spot on Harbaugh’s staff. A far more experienced candidate, Jim Bob Cooter — most recently the Colts offensive coordinator —is also on Harbaugh’s list.
This first round of interviews will likely be virtual.
Webb, 31, played in two regular-season games in his career — a mop-up appearance for the Bills in 2021 and his only NFL start for the Giants in the 2022 season finale.
And Webb just withdrew his name for consideration for the vacant Raiders head coach job.
Tanney, 38, got into one game for the Titans in 2015 and one for the Giants in 2019. Both were viewed as coaches in waiting during their playing days.
