Traffic Dept prohibits unauthorised use of World Cup logo on number plates

The General Directorate of Traffic Sunday said in a social media announcement that, it is prohibited to copy and install the World Cup logo on the number plates without proper authorisation. The Traffic Department said in a social media announcement that the vehicle number plates that now show the World Cup logo are special version ones that are issued according to specific terms and conditions in coordination with FIFA. These number plates issued to newly registered vehicles are given away through auction. Anyone who violates the norm legally accountable and will be referred to the authorities to take legal measures against them, the Traffic Department said.
