Doha: A total lunar eclipse, often called a “Blood Moon”, will be visible from Qatar on the evening of Sunday, September 7, 2025. This rare astronomical event has been confirmed by Qatar Calendar House (QCH), which stated that all phases of the eclipse will be visible across the country, weather permitting.
According to NASA, this eclipse will be observable in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, parts of Antarctica, and the Middle East.
With Qatar in the prime viewing zone, residents are encouraged to plan ahead, especially as the event begins shortly after working hours for many. The Moon will turn red for over an hour.
