Capitals agitator Tom Wilson takes multiple cheap shots at his opponents, and the NHL gives him a slap on the wrist.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat. NHL Player Safety announced that Wilson was only penalized with a $5,000 fine for “roughing” Rangers winger Pavel Buchnevich, the maximum allowable under the CBA.
Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.
