Tom Holland tries out new Spider-Man suit in first photos from set of ‘Brand New Day’

With great power comes great responsibility.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” officially commenced filming in Glasgow, Scotland, on Friday, Aug. 1, and fresh photos from the set have captured Tom Holland, 29, showing off his spectacular new Spider-Man suit.
Although details from the fourth web-slinging installment are scarce, Holland appears to be wearing the same homemade costume that he donned at the very end of 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
Unlike the red-and-black suit he wore during the majority of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first three “Spider-Man” films, or the Iron Spider suit of armor provided by Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame,” Holland’s latest suit looks closer to those worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield during their respective stints as the witty wall-crawler.
Featuring the classic red-and-blue colors from the comics, Holland’s new costume appears to include raised webbing, a reimagined and bigger spider emblem on the chest and a practical web-shooter on his wrist.
Holland himself teased the new costume on Instagram shortly before filming kicked off in Glasgow, and he also revealed the highly anticipated superhero flick’s release date.
