
Theodore tops P.E.I.’s baby name list once again in 2025

Theodore has once again claimed the top spot as the most popular baby name on Prince Edward Island in 2025.
The name was given to 12 babies born on the Island this year, according to P.E.I.’s Vital Statistics.
Theodore also ranked first in 2024 when it shared the top spot with Charlotte. This year, however, the latter dropped to seventh place.
Violet and John tied for second, with nine babies each. Neither name appeared on last year’s list.
Other strong contenders last year that didn't make this year's list include: Evelyn, Nolan, Luke, Liam, Thomas, Ava, Claire, Leo and Wyatt.
The lists of the top 10 names for girls and boys is up to date as of Dec. 11.
