
The Jets’ defense was its identity — now it’s a complete disaster

If you were brave enough to watch the Jets play the Jaguars on Sunday and you had the stomach to make it to the end of the game, you may have noticed something different about the game.
Most particularly, the outcome.
The Jets defense held onto a fourth-quarter lead when the game was in the balance.
In this 4-10 playoff-less season they’ve authored, which has included seven losses by six or fewer points (by a total of 25 points), holding a fourth-quarter lead for the Jets is considered an anomaly.
