What a difference a month makes. October has proved fruitful for equity market investors after the pain of September, with the S&P/TSX Composite Index on track to end the month nearly six per cent higher.
CANADIANS HAVE NEVER FELT WORSE ABOUT THEIR FINANCES
That's according to the latest consumer confidence poll from Nanos Research for Bloomberg News. Those polled by Nanos say their personal finances haven't been this bad in more than a decade, going back to at least 2008. A full 47 per cent say their finances have worsened over the last year, a more dire showing than even at the depths of the financial crisis. Only 13 per cent said their finances have improved over the last 12 months.
