One Swiftie said the news gave her the same feeling as "drinking 17 brown sugar shaken espressos."
Taylor Swift’s announcement on Tuesday that she will be releasing a new album later this year inspired quite the emotional reaction on social media.
The singer announced just after midnight ET that the new album ― her 12th original release ― is titled “The Life of a Showgirl” in a teaser clip for “New Heights,” the podcast hosted by her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason.
Although no release date was specified, her site said a vinyl version will ship before Oct. 13. She will presumably offer more details when she appears on the podcast Wednesday.
Not surprisingly, the news of new music from Swift swiftly became a hot topic on social media, where people dished on what it all means.
So, yes, people had thoughts. Lots and lots of them.
