Life is about balancing passion and profession for Canada’s wicketkeeper-batter Shreyas Moova.
The 32-year-old, born in Davangere in Karnataka moved to Montreal in 2016 for higher studies to study software engineering. There, he pursued cricket too, his passion, and broke into the national team, becoming the first from the Quebec region to do so.
He is enjoying the opportunity to play in the T20 showpiece and is keen to continue his job as a software professional even while continuing with cricket.
“I would love to do the software job after the World Cup and also cricket, as it is my passion,” said Moova on the eve of the Group D game against New Zealand at the M.A. Chidambaram stadium here.
Having played all his cricket in Davangere and Bengaluru, he took a break once his engineering was done and gave himself a chance to play for the Karnataka State team.
“After my engineering course, I took a one-year break to give myself one more chance to play for the State and took part in the zonals and probables matches,” said Moova.
