Speaker of Shura Council meets President of Inter-Parliamentary Union

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met on Wednesday with President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Duarte Pacheco, who is currently visiting the country to participate in the opening of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Programme Office on Parliamentary Engagement in Preventing and Countering Terrorism. During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the Shura Council and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and ways to enhance and develop them, especially in the parliamentary field. (QNA)
