'SNL' Cast Member Says Goodbye To 'Toxic As Hell' Show In Blunt Exit Message
HuffPost
Devon Walker detailed how he made "the most" of his three seasons on the NBC comedy sketch show.
Devon Walker announced Monday that he’s leaving “Saturday Night Live” after three seasons, two as a featured player and another as a cast member.
The comedian — in an Instagram carousel captioned “me and baby broke up ❤️” — included a note titled “wait..did he quit or did he get fired?” where he shared mixed feelings about the exit.
“Me and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool. Sometimes it was toxic as hell,” wrote Walker, whose note did not mention whether or not he left the show on his own terms.
“But we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a fucked up lil family.”
The post includes a screenshot of an “I’m out 🥳” text as well as a snap of Walker with former “SNL” writers Gary Richardson and Alex English, the latter of whom announced that he was “relieved” of his duties on the show last August.
