The identities of three ski guides killed in the catastrophic Lake Tahoe-area avalanche were revealed by authorities Saturday.
Michael Henry, 30, Andrew Alissandratos, 34, and Nicole Choo, 42 — all employees of Blackbird Mountain Guides — died in the tragic snow slide Tuesday at Castle Peak, according to the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office.
All of the victims, including six mothers who were clients of Blackbird, have been recovered from the mountain, officials said.
The California National Guard flew in a BlackHawk helicopter Saturday to retrieve the bodies.
Authorities described the avalanche as roughly the size of a football field.
A search crew reached eight of the victims and located a ninth who had been missing and presumed dead.
