Shura Council joint committee continues discussion on social security, military retirement draft laws

The joint committee formed by Legal and Legislative Affairs, and Financial and Economic Affairs Committees of the Shura Council met today, in the attendance of HE Deputy Speaker of the Council Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti.
In the meeting, chaired by HE Rapporteur of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Mohammed bin Youssef Al Mana, the committee completed all the questions and notes it had on the articles of the social security law. The committee decided to invite representatives from the designated authorities to address everything related to these questions.
The committee also began discussing the draft law on military retirement. It is currently examining all of the law's articles to ensure it addresses all of the citizens' needs, and is also determining some of the parts of the law that need further clarification.
The joint committee, through intensive meetings, is looking to continue examining the two draft laws and complete them as fast as possible, in reflection of the council's commitment to pursuing the citizen's interest.
