Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler are great friends, but even they had tension once in a while during their time on “Saturday Night Live.”
Meyers opened up about their rare friction during an appearance on Poehler’s podcast, “Good Hang.”
“I feel like the most tense our chemistry ever had was mornings — ‘Update’ mornings ― bagel times,” Meyers said on the latest episode, which was released on Tuesday.
“’Cause someone had pre-split the jokes,” he shared. “And then there were a few, like, left over that we both wanted. And I feel like there was a real dance.”
“Interesting,” Poehler said. “I thought I would have hidden that, but that’s probably true. I think we were like, ‘Are you going to take that joke? Hmm, I wonder who takes the good joke here, um...’”
