Sensex, Nifty shed gains to trade flat in volatile session

Benchmark market indices Sensex and Nifty have shed gains in early trade due to increased volatility.

Benchmark indices are trading flat on Wednesday after gains in morning trade were erased due to overall market weakness. At 11:00 am, the S&P BSE Sensex was trading at 52,570 levels, down marginally. Nifty50 also fell below 15,800. At the opening, Sensex jumped over 100 points, lifted by gains in Infosys, HUL, Bajaj Finance and Maruti.
