Sean McVay picks up tab at boozy NFL head coaches’ ‘day-drinking day’
NY Post
NFL head coaches enjoyed a few cold ones on Tuesday thanks to Sean McVay.
Fox insider Jay Glazer said 28 of the league’s 32 head coaches attended a “day-drinking day” event out at league meetings in Phoenix, and it was none other than McVay who picked up the tab.
The boozy bash seemed like a good time, in video Glazer posted to his X page, several of the coaches could be seen sipping on drinks and enjoying conversations about life and football.
Glazer shared that Olympic hero Michael Phelps and MMA legend Mark Kerr also attended.
“One of my favorite days of the year!!!” Glazer wrote in a caption on his video. “Our 18th annual NFL Head Coaches day-drinking day at the NFL Owners Meeting. I started this with Mike Tomlin 18 years ago (yes, we raised a glass to him) to get the head coach fraternity to bond together, bounce things off each other, ask each other for advice and to celebrate how cool life is TOGETHER.
“Leaders take care of everybody else but who takes care of the leaders? This is a cool way to bond so these leaders can all take care of each other. Trying to make it less lonely at the top! Oh, and the stories that are shared are CLASSIC!!! We had 28 of 32 coaches show!!! Oh, and I brought my brothers Michael Phelps and Mark ‘The Smashing Machine’ Kerr along as well to punch up the day. Classic day!!!! Hilarious convos!”
