The rumors began churning yet again after Gellar went to the premiere of the new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with her husband.
We may know what they did last summer, but fans are still wondering if there’s real drama between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
While at the red carpet premiere of her show “Dexter: Original Sin” in December, Gellar was asked about Hewitt’s participation in the revival of the ’90s horror classic “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” Fans speculated that the actor seemed dismissive when she responded, “I have nothing to do with that.”
Fast-forward to Monday at the slasher film’s premiere, and rumors began churning yet again. Eager fans noticed that Hewitt and Gellar, who was there to support her husband, Freddie Prince Jr., for his role in the latest installment, weren’t in any photos together.
Now Gellar has set the record straight in a comment on Instagram.
“For everyone asking - I never got to see @jenniferlovehewitt, who is fantastic in the movie,” she wrote. “I was inside with my kids when the big carpet happened. And unfortunately JLH didn’t come to the after party.”
