Sarah Michelle Gellar Has Thoughts On Reboots — And She's Not Holding Back

Gellar just spoke up.
In the Buffyverse, one slayer is chosen every generation — but the same thing cannot be said for TV and film reboots. And yes, Sarah Michelle Gellar has thoughts.
Gellar has been acting since she was 4 years old, but cartwheeled into stardom on the ’90s TV show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” She also starred in the slasher film “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which has gotten the reboot treatment — and “Buffy” is heading for it too.
So it’s not surprising Gellar had a few things to say about criticism of reboots.
“I’ve been fortunate enough that I’ve had work that people remember from all different times, and as an actor, you just hope you do work that not just stands the test of time (and) that people still remember, but they still enjoy,” the actor told USA Today in an interview Thursday.
The “Scooby Doo” star also spoke about the “emotional” pull reboots have for longtime fans.
