Doha, Qatar: The leading hypermarket group Safari has launched a unique promotion titled 1980: A Southern Nostalgia (Travancore Food Festival).
The inauguration ceremony took place yesterday in the Bakery & Hot Food section of Safari Mall, Abu Hamour, where Safari Group Chairman Hamad Dafar Al Ahbabi and Safari Group Deputy Chairman & Managing Director Zainul Abideen jointly inaugurated the event. Other representatives of Safari management were also present on the occasion.
“1980: A Southern Nostalgia – Travancore Food Festival” is a very diverse and exciting promotion. It has been introduced as a feast of traditional delicacies that is sure to capture the hearts of food lovers. The entire setting is designed to transport customers back to the memories of the 1980s. Special decorations have been arranged to recreate the atmosphere of that era, and staff have been dressed in costumes reflecting the 1980s, which has already attracted public attention.
A wide variety of homely, mouthwatering dishes are being prepared in the Safari Bakery & Hot Food section, including chicken fry, angadi kizhi, fried squid, mutton curry, Vizhinjam chicken fry, southern-style chicken biryani, Killippalam chicken fry, chicken liver roast, grilled fish and many more nostalgic items. In addition, several combo meals such as tapioca with squid and beef curry with porotta are also made available.
This promotion is designed in such a way that it gives the younger generation an opportunity to learn more closely about the flavors of the past, while for the older generation it evokes their fond memories of earlier days. The promotion, which began on September 10, is available in all Safari outlets.
