Restriction on cash transactions announced

The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) said Tuesday that, based on the Cabinet's Decision No. (10) of 2022, the use cash in transactions that exceed QR50,000 is being prohibited for certain trading outlets. The QCB said in a tweet that the prohibition is for the sale, purchase and rental of: * Properties of all kinds, and modifying it. * Vehicles of all kinds and their distinctive numbers. * Maritime transportation * Precious metals, gemstones and jewellery. * Camels, horses, livestock and falcons, whether single or flocks.
