Greene is one of the few Republicans who have called out Trump for inserting the United States in a foreign war.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) called out President Donald Trump’s decision to insert the United States into the war between Israel and Iran, saying it’s “not our fight.”
“Every time America is on the verge of greatness, we get involved in another foreign war,” Greene, a longtime Trump supporter, wrote on social media Saturday night. “There would not be bombs falling on the people of Israel if Netanyahu had not dropped bombs on the people of Iran first. Israel is a nuclear armed nation. This is not our fight. Peace is the answer.”
Greene’s social media post came right before Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States had completed a “very successful attack” on three nuclear sites in Iran.
“Congratulations to our great American Warriors,” Trump wrote Saturday evening. “There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Vice President JD Vance said Sunday on “Meet The Press” that the U.S. is not at war with Iran, instead the country is at war with Iran’s nuclear program.
“Arizona will not be bullied into letting any company place itself above state law,” said Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes.
The United Farm Workers said Tuesday that allegations of “abuse of young women or minors” were concerning enough to pause events commemorating Chavez.
