Renée Victor, the actor best known for voicing Abuelita in the Disney and Pixar’s film “Coco,” has died. She was 86.
Victor was also well known for her role as Lupita on Showtime’s “Weeds.”
The star died at her home in Sherman Oaks, California, on Friday night surrounded by her family after a battle with lymphoma, her representative told multiple outlets.
“Renée is perhaps best known as the voice of Abuelita in Disney’s 2017 blockbuster ‘Coco,’” her daughters, Raquel Victor and Margo Victor, wrote in a statement. “Renee was loved by so many & had fans all over the world. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.”
