The conglomerate was responding to reports suggesting that India’s largest refiner had placed order for procuring Iranian crude after the United States issued a waiver on procuring Iranian oil stranded at sea.
Denying having made any such purchases, the conglomerate held, “Reliance Industries categorically rejects recent media reports that the company has purchased crude oil of Iranian origin. These reports are baseless leading to misleading and incorrect claims.”
