RCPL acquires Southern Health Foods for ₹156 crore, enhancing its healthy foods portfolio with the trusted brand Manna.
Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has acquired a health foods maker from Tamil Nadu — Southern Health Foods Private Limited (SHFPL) — for an aggregate cash consideration of ₹156.42 crore from existing shareholders.
Consequently, SHFPL has become a wholly owned subsidiary of RCPL effective February 9, 2026, RIL said in a statement.
SHFPL was incorporated on April 16, 2012. The turnover of SHFPL for the FY2024-25, FY2023-24 and FY2022-23 was ₹109.40 crore, ₹127.37 crore and ₹126.65 crore, respectively.
The company, represented by its flagship brand Manna, has been a manufacturer of wide-ranging healthy foods for over two decades.
The addition of Manna adds to RCPL’s foods and staples portfolio that includes brands like Udhaiyam, Independence and SiL, through building a strong business vertical in the growing millet-based foods segment, the company said.
T. Krishnakumar, Director, Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said, “Manna is one of the most trusted names in the health-focused foods market in Tamil Nadu with a noticeable presence in the adjoining states. It is known for healthy offerings like millet-based staples and mixes, drinks and baby food.”
