Rangers put K’Andre Miller on injured reserve in blow to defense
NY Post
The Rangers defense has changed dramatically within just one week.
K’Andre Miller was placed on injured reserve on Friday with an upper-body injury.
He won’t join the team for the start of its three-game road trip, which starts on Sunday after Saturday’s clash against the Kings at home, and is required to miss at least seven days.
Miller exited the Rangers’ 3-2 win over the Sabres on Wednesday with the injury, though it’s unclear when it occurred.
He was hit hard by Jordan Greenway in the second period but he continued playing the rest of the period. He then didn’t come out for the third period, though.
Coupled with the decision to trade Jacob Trouba to the Ducks, the Rangers have now lost two players who were considered defensive mainstays right as they try to get their season back on track.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
