Rangers, Chris Drury have chance to embrace NHL’s new-school in coaching search
NY Post
Regarding the Rangers, a few days into the nearly five-month offseason that is their longest since 2019:
1. There will be no shortage of candidates for the head coaching position during this search that president-general manager Chris Drury pledged would be wide-ranging without prescribed preconditions.
Meaning that the field this time will not be limited to men who have been the head coach of multiple NHL teams. It might even mean that the field might not be limited to men.
Remember, Drury and the Rangers hired Jessica Campbell to be a coach at the 2022 development camp before she was hired on a full-time basis by Seattle, for whom she was an AHL assistant coach for two years before stepping up to become an assistant coach last season with the Kraken.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
