Rajasthan CM unveils 9 new policies to boost investments, economic growth, and employment opportunities in the state.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Wednesday (December 4, 3034) unveiled nine new policies aimed at promoting investments and speeding up the State’s economic growth. The policies were launched at the Chief Minister’s Office ahead of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit-2024 scheduled here for December 9 to 11.
Mr. Sharma said the policies and schemes would play an important role in ensuring economic progress, employment generation and social prosperity of the State. “These policies were approved at a meeting of the State Cabinet recently with the objective of giving a new direction and momentum to the all-round development of Rajasthan,” he said.
The policies cover the sectors such as micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), tourism, exports, clean energy, M-sand, cluster development, one district-one product, and minerals.
Mr. Sharma said the State government had obtained suggestions from all stakeholders for framing the policies. “All policies are aimed at simplifying the procedures and extending the maximum benefits to the people concerned,” he said, adding that there were immense possibilities in every field in the State.
Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa were among those present on the occasion. Both of them affirmed that the new policies, being launched before the mega-event for global investments, would position Rajasthan as a potential hub for industrial and economic activities.
While the MSME policy will help the local industries compete globally, the export promotion policy has been designed to expand the global reach for the State’s products. The one district-one product policy focuses on the district-specific crafts with the provisions for creating infrastructure to support local producers.
The tourism policy will generate employment in the areas such as eco-tourism and heritage tourism, while the integrated clean energy policy aims at making the State a “renewable energy leader” by encouraging solar, wind, and green hydrogen projects.

The heat of the recently concluded local body elections spilled over into the first meeting of the newly elected council of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, as the Opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) questioned the propriety of the 20 councillors to whom the Kerala High Court had issued a notice regarding their oaths, participating in the council.

Taking a dig at Udupi District Congress unit for demanding action against Udupi Deputy Commissioner T K Swaroopa for flagging off the Paryaya procession by waving a saffron flag, Udupi District BJP President Kuthyar Naveen Shetty on Wednesday asked how many preparatory meetings had district in-charge Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar conducted ahead of the celebrations.
