Quinnen Williams pens emotional goodbye to Jets after trade to Cowboys
NY Post
Quinnen Williams is headed to Dallas, but his heart was still in New York after the Jets traded the defensive tackle to the Cowboys before Tuesday’s trade deadline.
In an emotional goodbye to the only organization he’s played for in his NFL career, Williams thanked the Jets and the fans in a post on X.
“New York will always have a special place in my heart,” he wrote on social media. “To my teammates, coaches, and the entire Jets organization, thank you for believing in me and helping me develop on and off the field. To the fans, thank you for embracing a kid from Alabama and showing love through every high and low. You welcomed me with open arms, and gave me a place to grow. Your energy and passion made every game unforgettable.”
Williams ended his message by looking forward to his future in Dallas.
“I’m excited for what’s next in Dallas and can’t wait to get to work,” Williams wrote.
The Jets also thanked Williams for his time with the organization in a social media post.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
