QU-DAUP organises virtual architecture day

Architectural design shared on Virtual Architecture Day.
Qatar University’s (QU) College of Engineering Department of Architecture and Urban Planning (DAUP) organised the virtual Architecture Day 11/12 - version 2021, to display the graduate and undergraduate students’ projects. The event was attended by Dr Hassan al-Derham, QU president, Dr Khalid Kamal Naji, QU-CENG dean, Dr Fodil Fadli, DAUP head in addition to guests, architects and representatives from local and international institutions. Dr al-Derham said, “Over the last decade, the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning has become an increasingly important part of Qatar University's story. Our architecture and urban planning graduates have embarked on their professional careers to become essential players in the Qatari government, industry, and society. Architecture Day is an annual opportunity to display our future professionals' immense drive and talent in architecture and urban planning”. He also pointed out that projects and designs take into consideration sustainability, local cultural aspects, and quality standards in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.More Related News
