QNTC participates in tourism recovery summit in Riyadh

* Summit sheds light on obstacles hindering sector's recovery and sustainability, with attendance of UNWTO A Qatari delegation headed by Qatar National Tourism Council secretary-general and Qatar Airways Group chief executive HE Akbar al-Baker took part in the Tourism Recovery Summit held on May 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The summit shed light on the obstacles hindering the sector’s recovery and sustainability, reinforcing co-ordination among the public and private sectors to help the sector emerge from the effects of the pandemic, QNTC said in a statement. The summit was attended by Zurab Pololikashvili, secretary-general of the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), a number of tourism ministers representing different countries, as well as key figures from the public and private sectors.
