Doha, Qatar: Qatar National Day is an opportunity to honour the legacy of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani and to reflect on the values that continue to shape modern Qatar: unity, resilience, and a deep commitment to progress grounded in cultural identity, the Ambassador of Germany H E Oliver Owcza has said.
In his message on the occasion of the QND 2025, the Ambassador said, “On behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany, I extend my warmest congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the government, and to the people of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the 2025 Qatar National Day.
The envoy noted that the day is a celebration of a nation that has successfully combined tradition with innovation, preserving its heritage while confidently preparing for the future.
“Over the past years, Qatar’s achievements have been remarkable. The country has demonstrated sustained economic diversification, cutting-edge investments in education and research, substantial progress in sustainability, and world-class advancements in health care, culture, and sports. Its dynamic role in global diplomacy and mediation, as well as its expanding contributions to humanitarian efforts, continue to position Qatar as a constructive and respected partner on the international stage,” he added.
He noted that Germany deeply values the already strong but nevertheless steadily growing partnership between the two countries.
