Doha, Qatar: This summer, Qatar Foundation’s Al-Mujadilah Centre & Mosque for Women launched a new initiative – a camp for girls – advancing its efforts to create a vibrant space for Muslim women to engage in research, worship, and dialogue.
Al-Mujadilah hosted 16 girls at the first-ever Khawlah Girls Club Summer Camp, held from July 27 to August 7, 2025. The two-week programme, themed ‘A Heart Pulsing with Faith and a Mind Striving for Excellence’, was organised in collaboration with Ajial Altarbwy Centre.
Open to girls aged 10-14 years, the camp was designed to strengthen their religious connection while fostering intellectual and life skills, appreciation of Islamic values, and authentic Arabic identity.
“One of Al-Mujadilah’s goals is to support Muslim women of all ages, and so it’s important that we also focus on girls when designing our offerings,” said Head of Programmes at Al-Mujadilah, Kholood Nooh.
As part of its summer offerings, the second edition of Al-Mujadilah’s Ri’aya Young Adult Stewardship Programme has returned, being delivered in partnership with local and international organisations such as Education Above All’s Al Fakhoora programme, QF’s Akhlaquna, and Paragon Corp, which has expanded Ri’aya’s reach.
