Qatar weathered pandemic best among Arab countries

Doha: Qatar has become the only Arab country in the region to be among the top 15 countries in dealing with COVID-19, according to a classification published by the Der Spiegel magazine in Germany.   

The magazine has compared COVID-19 related data from 154 countries across the world with more than 5000,000 inhabitants.   Titled ‘Where the fight against the pandemic succeeds,’ the magazine’s ranking was determined by several factors that comprise the COVID-19 Stringency Index.
