Qatar urges all sides to exercise restraint, solve Ukrainian crisis through peaceful, diplomatic means

Qatar urged all parties to exercise restraint, avoid further escalation, and adhere to peaceful and diplomatic means to settle disputes and differences between Russia and Ukraine.
Qatar expressed deep concern over the ongoing developments in Ukraine and their humanitarian repercussions, in addition to the dangerous consequences of the accelerating escalation on peace and security.
This came in a statement made by HE the State of Qatar's Permanent Representative to the UN Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani in front of the emergency special session of the United Nations General Assembly on the situation in Ukraine.
The statement said that over the past few days, the world witnessed once again the woes and pain of armed violence, adding that the State of Qatar is following with great concern the current developments in Ukraine and their humanitarian repercussions, in addition to the dangerous consequences of the accelerating escalation on international peace and security, as well as on the economy and food security around the world.
