Doha, Qatar: The third session of the Joint Economic and Trade Committee between the Governments of the State of Qatar and Turkmenistan convened yesterday in Doha, attended by senior officials and representatives from the public and private sectors of both countries.
The Qatari delegation was chaired by H E Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, while the Turkmen delegation was headed by H E Nazar Agahanov, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al-Sayed affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between Qatar and Turkmenistan, noting that the Committee serves as a key platform for strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
His Excellency highlighted the progress achieved through recent high-level visits and expressed his hope that the meetings would enhance cooperation across economic, financial, and investment sectors, in a manner that meets the aspirations of the two friendly nations.
Dr. Al-Sayed also invited Turkmen companies and investors to explore opportunities in Qatar’s expanding market in support of their shared interests.
