Qatar to participate in GCC Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance meet

The State of Qatar, represented by the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA), will participate Sunday in the 21st meeting of the Committee of GCC Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Insurance Agencies to be held in Riyadh for two days. The State of Qatar will be represented in the meeting by HE the President of GRSIA Turki bin Mohamed Al Khater. The meeting will discuss the report on the follow-up to the work of the Committee of Heads of Civil Retirement and Social Security, and the procedures obligating employers to pay contributions, statistical indicators for applying the unified system to extend insurance protection, targeting workers who are not registered in the unified system, examining challenges related to paying contributions with banks, and periodic seminars. The meeting also discussed some proposals such as the award of civil pension and social insurance funds for scientific research, honoring leading figures in the field of civil pension and social insurance, in addition to topics submitted by member states.
