Cairo: Qatar has participated in the 103rd regular session of the Permanent Committee for Arab Media, held on Tuesday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
The meeting was chaired by Abdulrahman bin Nasser Al Obaidan, President of the Committee. Qatar's delegation was led by Abdullah Ghanem Al Buainain Al Muhannadi, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Agreements at the Qatar Media Corporation.
During the session, member states reviewed a range of issues on the agenda, including the updated version of the Arab Media Code of Honour and regional strategies for combating terrorism and promoting media and information literacy.
Discussions also covered an environmental media plan and the development of an executive program to support the Arab media roadmap for the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
