Qatar strongly condemns assassination attempt on Iraqi Prime Minister

The State of Qatar strongly condemned and denounced the assassination attempt targeting Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs considered this attempt as a terrorist act targeting the sisterly Iraqi state, stressing the need to prosecute those involved and to bring them to justice.

The Ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position in support of the unity, stability and sovereignty of Iraq, and the aspirations of its brotherly people for security, stability and development.
