Qatar's permanent representative to UN meets UNGA president
Her Excellency Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani met with President of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly Annalena Baerbock at the UN headquarters in New York. During the meeting, the president of the General Assembly expressed appreciation for the active role played by Qatar in supporting the United Nation's efforts, and commended its hosting of the high-level meeting for the mid-term review of the Doha Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries (2022-2031), scheduled for March 2027, underscoring its importance in advancing the implementation of international commitments towards the least developed countries.
